Field Trips
As a courtesy please make prior arrangements before going on field trips. Field trips are considered a regular class day. Because of liability concerns, additional students or siblings are not allowed to attend field trips.
When parents are transporting students, please follow the same dress code as volunteers. You must have a seat belt for every passenger, current insurance verification and no passenger under 13 years of age should be in the front seat with an air bag. A copy of your driver’s license and insurance verification should be provided to the CCS office.
Birthday Parties
If party invitations are distributed at the school, they need to include everyone or all the same sex in any class. CCS does not sponsor dances. Any school-sponsored event will be on the school calendar or noted in the Warrior News.
Communication
The Warrior news is a communication tool that is sent home every week. PTA
meetings are mandatory for each family. They are held when necessary. Please visit the website at ClaremoreChristian.com for ongoing information.
Food Service
CCS is a closed campus. Each student is responsible for bringing their own lunch or they may purchase school lunches in the cafeteria. Please help us in supporting the cafeteria by refraining from bringing in outside restaurant food. Elementary schools may have pop and candy on Fridays only.
Lockers
Periodic random locker checks will be performed throughout the year. These checks will ensure the general welfare of the school. Lockers should be kept neat and free of any sticky decals, trash, or food. Locks may be used but the combination must be on file in the CCS main office.
Library Services
All students may use the library and have checkout privileges. Students will be responsible for the replacement costs of lost or damaged books. When students are taken to the public library only books and videos of CCS’s standard may be checked out.
Music Programs
CCS has two music programs a year, one in December and one in May. All PreK – 6th students are expected to participate.
Parent/Teacher Conferences
CCS readily encourages parent/teacher interaction. Please see the teacher after school or schedule a mutually convenient time to discuss problems or concerns.
Pictures
Individual student photographs for the yearbook will be taken in the fall and class pictures in the spring. The student if desired may purchase these packets. Athletic pictures are taken when the sport is in season and athletes may purchase copies. Seniors may have their pictures taken by a private photographer but the yearbook will need a copy.
Relationships
We do not encourage any relationships beyond friendship at CCS. Prohibited behavior at CCS includes but is not limited to : discussions of “ going out”, separating oneself as a couple, outward displays of affection.
Spirit Days
Every Friday is a spirit day and everyone is encouraged to participate. See the uniform list for appropriate dress on Fridays.
Telephone
Students may use the CCS office phone with appropriate permission.
Visitation
Please refrain from interrupting a class during school hours. Visitors should check in with the main office or the elementary principal.
